    It was getting late so we went inside. My mom and I went to bed. We both said, “Good night.” We were both snoring loudly ZZZZZ!  Then our brains switched. When we woke up I yelled, “I’m my mom!” My mom yelled, “I’m my son!” My mom and I wanted to be ourselves. Then we went to bed and our brains switched. We woke up. We went into the living room. We yelled to each other, “I’m not you!” Then we both were happy!

Parent Advisory Committee!

Westside Parent Advisory Committee Meeting

When:  May 5, 2014

Who’s invited:  All parents of Westside students

What:  The advisory board is designed for two way communication between families, the community and the school.

Why:  At Westside we feel partnering with families and the community adds to student achievement and furthering the mission of the school and district!

Agenda for first meeting:

1.      Mission of WPAC (Westside Parent Advisory Committee Meeting)

2.    Review of WFPS Strategic Plan

3.    Input from parents on Registration and Back to School Night

4.    Plan for future meetings in 2014-2015 school year (grade level updates, staff development, curriculum changes, how to add agenda items)

The Westside Parent Advisory will take place at 6:00 PM, we will then proceed with the Westside PTA meeting at 6:30.

I'm sending home a flyer tonight to have your children create their own account for extramath.com. Please follow the directions on the sheet that I send home to add your child's information to each and every computer/device they may use to practice their math facts.

We need you!  PTA officer elections will be held May 5 at 6:30.  Please consider joining the governing body of PTA.  PTA helps with several projects at the school, helps pay for field trips, purchases new playground equipment and supports teachers with classroom materials regularly.  I hope to see you at the Westside PTA meeting May 5^th.  Thanks!

Family Fun Night

I hope you can all join us at Westside's 2nd Annual Family Fun Night! All proceeds of tonight's carnival will go toward the Backpack Program!

5:30-7:30 pm in the Westside Gym!
Taco in a Bag and Water available for purchase along with $5 wristbands.
The silent auction items are looking AMAZING as well!
