What's the difference between a rock and a mineral?

Ask your kids tonight what the difference between rocks and minerals is! Ask your students also what GEOLOGY is (the study of Earth) and what GEOLOGISTS are (a person who studies Earth).We've been having SOOOO much fun in science investigating rocks and minerals! Rocks are objects that are made up of many different materials, including minerals. Minerals are objects in Earth that cannot be broken down any farther.
